LUBE
LUBRICATION
RECOMMENDED LUBRICANT:
Finish Line “One-Step” Lubricant
- Apply monthly (minimum), more often if commuting or frequent riding.
- Apply after you clean the bike, if the bike gets wet, or has been on the beach.
- Apply to the chain, sprocket, cassette (gears), derailleur, and related hardware.
- If you have folding pedals, don’t forget the internal pedal springs.
- Do not apply lubricant to brake rotors or electrical components.
- Avoid lights, leather, and rubber (could cause discoloration over time).
TIRES
TIRE INFLATION
Keep tires properly inflated for the best ride/wear/longevity.
DO NOT EXCEED TIRE MAX PRESSURE
- Check tires for minimum / maximum pressure limits.
- Look for Pounds Per Square Inch (PSI) Max Pressure.
- Check tire pressure weekly (min) or prior to each ride.
- Keep tires within 5% of the MAX PSI to extend tire life.
CLEAN
CLEANING
RECOMMENDED CLEANER:
Waterless Detail Spray w/ Wax
- Avoid using water whenever possible.
- Use a large, soft paint brush (or soft towel) to remove excess sand and dirt.
- If the bike gets wet towel dry and re-apply lubricant as soon as possible.
- Wipe down with a “waterless” detail product (do not spray on disc rotors).
- Clean a minimum of once per month, more as needed with frequent riding.
- Always clean after any ride on the beach (never ride in water at the beach!).
CHARGE
BATTERY CHARGING
Only use the original bike charger.
Do not leave your battery on a charger overnight.
Use a timer as a reminder when to take the battery off the charger.
Avoid extreme temperatures.
- Keep battery above freezing, and no hotter than 110 deg Fahrenheit.
- If you keep bike in your garage, make sure it is a well-ventilated area.
- If your garage is kept closed with no air circulation take the battery or bike inside.
- During a charging cycle the battery should be in a dry environment.
The ideal time to charge your battery is between 50% – 20%.
- Always plug the charger into the bike before plugging into an outlet.
- The charger light will glow red when charging, and then return green when complete.
- When charging is complete unplug from the wall, and then unplug from the bike.
- Do Not leave your battery with low or no charge for extended periods.
- Leaving low (or no charge) may result in “sleep mode” (battery damage).
- Your battery prefers to be “exercised” (used and charged regularly).
- Lithium-Ion batteries will last longer with regular use and charging.
- If you occasionally top-off (or run out) that’s ok – just do not make the norm!
Avoid storing the battery for prolonged periods.
- Avoid letting your battery sit with no charge.
- You should charge your battery at least once per month.
- Do not leave your battery longer than 60 days without charging.
SCREEN
LCD SCREEN
The LCD is splash-proof, NOT waterproof.
- Always keep a Ziplock bag w/ rubber band handy for rain.
- Avoid keeping a display outside/uncovered (dew & condensation).
- When traveling, we recommend using a Ziplock bag secured with a zip tie.
- Broken brackets & water damage is not covered by the warranty.
SERVICE
SERVICE
Have your bike professionally serviced annually.
- This is more about your safety than bike performance.
- Heavy usage may require more frequent service.
- If the bike is not working properly, do not delay contacting us!
