Pedal Assist Sensors

CADENCE 

  • Cadence sensors engage motors when the pedals are moving (pedals stop, motor stops).
  • When in pedal assist mode the motor does approximately 50% of the work (rider 50%).
  • Our bikes have five (5) Pedal Assist Speeds (PAS).

TORQUE + CADENCE

  • The cadence component works as described above.
  • The torque component monitors pressure on the pedals.
  • As a rider begins an incline, more pressure will be applied to the pedals.
  • The sensor automatically provides additional assistance.
  • When the rider starts a decline, less pressure is present, and the torque sensor reduces pedal assistance.
  • The Torque-Cadence (combination) sensor saves battery use and provides a more natural ride by maintaining equilibrium between bike and rider effort.
